| NIKANOL |
| NIKANOL is the general term given for and categorized the
Straight types (xylene and mesitylene-formaldehyde oligomers)
and the Modified types (obtained resins by reactions of the
straights and other compounds such as phenol). |
| |
| Features |
 |
Straight type resins are liquid, comparatively easy handling
and compatible with various synthetic and natural resins and
capable to improve various property of these resins.
[Improved features]
- Tackiness. Initial adhesion. Give of stickiness.
- Water, Moisture and Alkali resistance.
- Electrical resistance and constant.
NIKANOL are used as compatible agent over two synthetic and
natural resins.
NIKANOL are dispersed in water by emulsifier.
NIKANOL are used as non-reactive oligomers and reactive oligomers. |
| |
 |
Modified type resins are capable to improve properties more
than straight type resins because they are obtained by reaction
with other compounds such as phenols, carboxylic acids, alcohols
and so on.
Water dispersion xylene-formaldehyde resins are used emulsion. |
 |
Improved
resin
Alkyd resin, Epoxy resin, Phenolic resin, Unsaturated polyester
resin, Acrylic resin, Urethane resin, Various rubber (NBR, SBR,
SIS, SBS, EPDM etc.) |
| |
Application
Paint & Varnishes, Adhesive, Pressure sensitive adhesive,
Encapsulating material,
Paper-laminated circuit board etc. |
